Mama and Che' (my grandmother) always remind me to avoid long distance journey because I am a 'Darah Manis' (a Malay term for sweet blood through which the old people believe a soon-to-be married couple to avoid anything involving danger for afraid of something regretful happen before the wedding day).
However, sometimes a job must simply be done. I had to apply for examination transcripts at the university so by hook or by crook, I must go through that long distance journey. I was on the way from Kuala Lumpur-Malacca with Saiful (my fiance). I seriously can't understand why do something so easy, if it can be done in 2 minutes by just a single click requires us to drive all the way for 2 hours? (Oh 4 hours to be exact for a return journey). Aiyoo...pftt.
The rain was pouring down when suddenly the car swerved to the right and hit the highway dividers near Persimpangan Nilai. I was closing my eyes and holding the seat tightly. The only thing I could hear was the screaming tires and a loud crash. Only God knows. I seriously think that I would urmm...you know......already ( I shall not mention the word. That was my first time okay and it was very very scary!) and silently hoping that nothing happen to Saiful. Luckily there were no cars behind and in front that time, or else only God knows what will happen to us. God forbid.
He stopped the car.
Sarah: ..Are you okay? Err...do you still remember me?
Saiful: Yes I do. Do you?
Sarah: Yes, of course! you're Saiful, my fiance.. right?.. ;p
Both safe and sound.
Like hello we just watched 'The Vow' few days before the incident happened! Saiful managed to control the car and moved it to the emergency lane. Thank God for 'Yaasin' in the dashboard, I managed to finish it three times while waiting for his driver to come and fetch us. There were so many strangers came to help, didn't know whether they really came to help or otherwise..because some of them acted strangely and looked very fishy to me. But they just went away after we said that someone is coming to help us.
For those whom wished us through sms, bbm and etc, thank you so much for your prayers and concern. We are very grateful and fortunate to be given a second chance to live and with that I really thank Allah for His mercy. Never underestimate the power of doa (prayer) and never ever look down on the wise old sayings by our nenek moyang because it could be true.
You'll never know.
*i dare not to upload the pictures because i can't even look at it*
