The Royal Babies

I always think that Tuanku Zara Davidson is a demure and of course very beautiful not pretentious icon princess in Malaysia.
I have been wanting to see the royal couple's prince Raja Azlan Muzzafar Shah together with the princess Raja Nazira Safya's photograph but to no avail previously. I just came across the photographs which I've found on google.
So cute!

Just like mommy and daddy. Beautiful children.
Daulat Tuanku!

Engagement Review: Ladies and Men of Honor's Diary

Me, my girls, my mom and the gentlemen had our rehearsals and briefing session prior to the engagement day so that we know the cue from where and when should the girls come down, and when the men of honor should come in according to the song that I have chosen.
Briefing session! Huhu

The best planner on earth, my mommah! Look! She was so semangat

The dulang boys (men of honor! ;) )

Basically I have chosen this song for the dulang boys while they came in to put the gift trays from the man's side and while my dulang girls came down from the stairs to bring down the tray gifts from my side. The reason why I have chosen this song was because I wanted to keep the Malay traditional mood and element in it. Like the saying from our older generations 'Biar mati anak, jangan mati adat' (Better the children die than the tradition) although I'm a bit reluctant to agree on the 'Biar mati anak' part. How can you let your children die!? ;p

And my mom and I had agreed on this design for the ladies of honor to wear.

Design: Kurung Pahang
Materials: Songket and Satin
Colour: Kuning lemak ketam (very close to light yellow)
Selendang (Scarf) material: Off white chiffon with some beadings

All the materials for the outfit were purchased in Kelantan. They have so many patterns and colours for the songket with reasonable prices. Kelantan is famous for its songket too.

Both of the drawings were by my mom as well. I love the cutting of Kurung Pahang for this event and chiffon scarf to achieve the sweet and decent Malay young girls look while carrying the gift trays.

The girls

As for the men of honor's outfit, Saiful has decided on a cream colour fabric with co-ordinated songkets for the dulang boys' baju melayu. The fabric for baju melayu and songket were purchased in Kelantan as well.
All in complete baju melayu. Very handsome kan? Hi hi

To all my ladies of honor and Saiful's men of honor, thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for being part of our memorable event. It was a great pleasure to have you guys to be involved during our day.
This video is special dedicated from me to you as our appreciation. Love you guys big time, like only God knows! You know who you are ;)

Engagement Review: The Dress

It feels like only yesterday we were planning on what kind of fabric to wear for the engagement, choosing the right colour schemes, the hantaran (gifts) for both sides, the pelamin (dais) it was a hectic but yet very lovely experience. Being such a 'detail-oriented' (according to my mom, but hello look who's talking! Ha ha) bride-to-be, I must say it was not that easy. All I know is I really wanted it to be in real dusty pink, for the love of lace therefore it must be in full french lace added with same tone colour for the chiffon at the wrist part of the dress and intricate beadings with dangling clear crystals and small pearls on it. Alhamdulillah, thank God it turned out like how I wanted it to be.

The special part of this dress is because it was entirely designed by my mom (passion draws the architect. She has so much interest in drawing!) and I was very proud to wear her own design on my engagement day. Thank you mom! *big squishy hug*

Will do a further review on my dulang girls also known as my ladies of honor and Saiful's dulang boys aka men of honor's outfits in the next post. ;)

Splish Splash!

My family and I decided to take the opportunity to spend our quality time together since Daniel (my 9 year old little brother) is on holiday.
It's been awhile since our last short getaway.

The moment I enter the room, I know that Daniel will be so much head over heels with this place.
You know why?

It has a private pool in it.
Now sister's running to the pool too.

And here we go!
Splashhhhh!

How I wish to have a pool like this in my future room one day so that the first thing I can do in the morning is to open the door, terjun into the pool and tadaa! My shower's done. Ha ha!

Every accommodation unit here features their own pool and offers complete privacy. Overall, it is a nice place for you to spend with your family and a reasonably priced hotel if you wish to go for short vacation or throw a bachelorette party or anything among your girlfriends, i think it is going to be fun. Oh and not to forget, for a short trip it can be a romantic getaway for honeymoon'ers too.

The room is clean, neat and tidy as expected.

There are many types of room that you can choose. Basically my family and I had a great and relaxing time here.
Here's the address of this place for your reference:

Grand Lexis Port Dickson (Formerly known as The Legend Water Homes)
Batu 2, Jalan Seremban,
71000 Port Dickson,
